Ingredients
- 200g plain flour
- 100g sugar
- 100g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl. You’ll have to use your hands so be sure you have washed them before.
The goal is to have the butter well incorporated into the flour. So use your hands to mix everything until you end with a sticky mixture that you can turn into a bowl like on the picture.
If it is too sticky, even after 5 minutes, you might need to add some extra flour. So add it and try again…
If it is too dry to form a bowl, maybe it needs some more butter.
Be carefull not to add too much butter as your pastry would become very sensitive to hot temperature in your hoven…
If you really need to add some butter, add one extra egg instead and a little bit more flour.
